The Corn Exchange Comes Out on Top

Visitors flocked to Cornhill Market for our second Corn Exchange on Saturday April 25^th. Even the sun made an appearance, meaning we could make full use of both Cornhill Market and City Square. It was great to see the space so full and vibrant.

The Corn Exchange was created to showcase the cream of Lincolnshire’s crop. Every third Saturday of the month we will host small businesses and independent traders selling locally sourced produce and goods.

This month we were proud to host Grain of Truth Bakery, Marshland Cider, Silkstone Vineyard, Back Garden Bakery, and Sibsey Preserves. They set the bar high, offering slow-fermented breads using the finest ingredients, artisanal jams and chutneys, Lincolnshire-grown wine, traditional craft cider using locally sourced Bramley apples, and more.

Alongside the Corn Exchange, Cornhill Market also hosted Arcane Revelry selling wood and resin crafts, Pauline’s Gifts selling oil burners and crystals, Handmade with Love by Caroline and Julie selling crochet items, and Pumpkin and Friends who are a charity offering support for disabled dogs. Out on City Square, The Naked Marshmallow Co provided refreshments for those wanting to sit and soak up the sun. There really was something for everyone.

You can’t beat buying locally sourced and made products. Not only can you be sure of the quality, but each purchase supports local businesses, families, and makers. That’s why the Corn Exchange will be back every month, showcasing some our county’s best small businesses and independent traders.

We are grateful to all the traders who came along for the day, including our permanent stallholders, and to everyone who visited, ate, and bought local. In addition, your donations raised over £1000 for Pumpkin and Friends Charity, which will go a long way to supporting disabled animals. Thank you!
